I’ve never had a Sorcerer in my party. They don’t get the bonus feats that a Wizard gets and they didn’t learn as many spells either. For D&D veterans they offered a chance to use certain spells more than once in a day, knowing a certain number of spells and having a larger number of times they may cast any spell they know per day. Beyond that, the distinction was minute. They even used the same spell lists.
