Alex here, back again with another edition of Ritual Report! Again, there are plenty of stat boosting spells that I’ve skipped, but you don’t really need me to tell you why it might be useful to have +10 to a strength check or breathe underwater, so I’ll leave you to figure those spells out on your own. Here are the wackiest, most effective, most interesting rituals for a level 6-10 player. Have a look!

• Deathly Shroud- Basically a magic version of zombie makeup, Deathly Shroud allows you to disguise yourself as an undead. I can think of about 50 movies with the phrase “of the dead” in the title where a metric buttload of people would’ve not died had they had this spell.
• Duplicate- Creates a duplicate of any small item. Fantastic if you want to do some undetected thievery, like stealing the keys to the treasure vault or snatching someone’s piggy bank.
• Earthen Ramparts- Creates large mounds of dirt that you and your pals can use as cover. Insta-cover! What’s not to like?
• Mordenkainen’s Joining- Though it sounds like the name of a dark malediction designed to bind your soul to that of a powerful demon, it’s actually just the magical equivalent of super glue.
• Speak with the Dead- Solving crimes has never been so easy! “Who killed you?” “That guy.” CASE CLOSED!

3rd edition Cone of Cold spell

• Tree Stride- Being able to jump from tree to tree via teleportation is pretty sweet. You can be your own one-man forest ambush!
• Wizard’s Escape- For when you need to squeeeeeze through a tight corridor to escape, or when your wizard pants are just a liiiiiittle tighter than you’d like.
• Anthem of Unity- Crowd getting kinda ugly at the bard’s latest recital? With Anthem of Unity, they’ll be ready and rearin’ for an encore! Or maybe you’d like to get them all rallied up to kill the local king instead! With Anthem of Unity they’ll be lopping the bugger’s head of faster than you can say Regicide!
• Linked Portal- Ahhh, now you’re thinking with portals! With this spell you can magically link two portals (doorways, gateways, pretty much anything referring to ways or doors) to one another, leading to all kinds of potential shenanigans. Whether you need a quick escape or you just want to make sure that people who try to follow you end up back in the room they just left, Linked Portal is the spell for you!
• Tenser’s Lift- Tenser’s Floating Disc level 2. This thing is an elevator wherever you need it, and given that you’re an adventurer, you probably need the friggin’ things everywhere.
• Impress Anaxim- A weaker 4^th edition variant of the mighty Old School spell Geas (Quest), this ritual allows you to dominate the crap out of the mind of someone, and make them do whatever awful thing you want… as long as you basically just want them to kick the crap out of someone.
