I’m not calling this a prediction because I’m not predicting the future. I’m estimating an outcome that has already happened but has not yet been revealed. Our friend Katrina Hill, a.k.a. Action Flick Chick at actionflickchick.com and @actionchick on twitter, had no intention of entering G4TV’s Women of the Web competition, not when the contest said [...]

2nd Edition Dungeons and Dragons was an entirely different beast. You just picked a class, a race (maybe not even that), and a name. After that, you just sat and played. And died. And died. And died and died and DIED! It was great.

I’ve never had a Sorcerer in my party. They don’t get the bonus feats that a Wizard gets and they didn’t learn as many spells either. For D&D veterans they offered a chance to use certain spells more than once in a day, knowing a certain number of spells and having a larger number of times they may cast any spell they know per day. Beyond that, the distinction was minute. They even used the same spell lists.

The Vistani are the D&D equivalent of gypsies. Not really a race but a cultural heritage. It feels more like a race because of the potency of their encounter power (Evil Eye of the Vistani) and the feats that augment it. It’s a little strange reviewing material released by Wizards of the Coast for 4th Edition D&D. At first, I could compare the material to 3rd Edition and make some very insightful judgments based sheerly upon that. Since then 4th Edition has truly sunk into to my (and hopefully your) psyche as a truly superior tabletop [...]
