Over the last couple of months, our friend the Action Flick Chick - as @actionchick because of twitter’s 15-character username limit - has picked up over 17,000 followers on twitter. She’s popular. Deservedly so.

While she strives to keep politics out of her tweets because she is out to talk up her love of movies, she does not hesitate to show her support for the troops strongly and often.

(“Via” has emerged as an alternative to “RT” when resending someone else’s tweet. That means HellcatBetty thought actionchick’s remark to “Liberals & conservatives alike” was well said. I have no idea why. I should ask Action Flick Chick.)
Several people have asked for her advice on how their kids can get into stuntwork, probably because of her interviews with stunt people like David Leitch (Matrix trilogy, Bourne Ultimatum, 300, Ninja Assassin, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), La Faye Baker (Blade, Lethal Weapon 4, Mission: Impossible 3, Swordfish, Star Trek: The Next Generation), and Luci Romberg coming soon (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Zombieland, True Blood, Ninja Warrior). A couple of guys kept bugging her for help getting their songs into movies; they had a hard time accepting the fact that her Hollywood connections aren’t involved with soundtracks.
Through twitter, actionchick interacts with an interesting mix of entertainment figures.

I know there were some others, although I can’t think of them off hand. Through twitter, she began corresponding with the executive producer of one of our favorite television shows, who even asked her to survey our crew for what we’d like to see more and less of on the show. Celebrities who followed her before she followed them include Arnold Schwarzenegger and David Letterman’s music man Paul Shaffer. We don’t feel free to message the ones who DM’d her (sent her direct, a.k.a., private messages). And if you don’t believe others DM’d her, I doubt she remotely cares. Skepticism is good. We encourage it. Speaking of which, she busted several frauds pretending to be real world celebs on twitter.
Most importantly to us, many people on twitter talk about how much they love her movie reviews and the other posts at her own website, actionflickchick.com.

Although some tweeted how baffling it was to them that she sometimes gave a high score to a movie they hated or a low score to a movie they loved, even those seem to get it once they discover that she’s not rating films as “good” or “bad,” not when there are already hundreds, even thousands of bloggers, YouTubers, and other critics already taking care of that. No, she rates them as action films. Plenty of people grasp that straight away.
