The Gloomers release first Halloween episode
The Gloomers, a new animated cartoon series debuting at Comic-Con this year, released its first Halloween episode today. The Halloween episode stars famed horror director and Evil Dead II writer Scott Spiegel, who plays himself in the cartoon.
The Gloomers series is the brainchild of Charles Mechem, who was CEO of Taft Broadcasting, which owned Hanna Barbera for over 20 years. The Gloomers includes Neal Barbera, son of Joe Barbera, as a writer. Neal Barbera wrote a number of classic Hanna Barbera scripts, including Yogi Bear, Scooby-Doo and many others.
“No matter how bad your day is, The Gloomers’ day is always worse.”
